When “the luck of the Irish” runs out!

St. Patrick's Day is next week, and you know what that means - green clothing, green decorations and green beer!  If you are going to have a glass of that festive brew, be sure to hand over your keys first – because driving buzzed will bring you no luck on St. Patrick's Day.

THE MYTH OF THE FIFTH - We have all heard “I plead the Fifth” on TV, but what does it really mean?

Most people, have a vague idea of what this means.  On TV this scene typically happens in a courtroom and it’s said by the person on trial who is refusing to say anything else.

Police have used fingerprint evidence to catch and convict criminals for more than 100 years.  Specifically, latent fingerprint analysis is the method where an analyst compares an unknown fingerprint (latent print) recovered from some part of a crime scene, item, or other source and compares it to a known print. 

The absolute most important thing to remember if you are arrested is that you have the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.  These rights, however, only protect you if you use them!  If you are arrested, the single best thing that you can do for yourself is to keep quiet until you are represented by a lawyer.
